When it comes to wearing maxi skirts there’s a fine line between chic and hippie. The key is to keep it simple.
I paired my maxi skirt (a sweet find from my trip to Palm Springs) with a basic t-shirt, my standby jean jacket (it’s 10-years old!) and simple sandals. Since the print is so strong a simple silver cuff keeps the bohemian vibe without wandering into carnival fortune-teller territory.
My prediction? This maxi skirt is going to be a summer fave.

Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with a t-shirt and jeans. Even if the shirt happens to be a little lacy and the jeans aged with years of wear.
I tend to opt for simple when it comes to my personal style. I prefer to add touches of colour or interest through accessories and twists on everyday basics., like this lace blouse from Aritzia. It’s already turning out to be a fave piece as it very simple but not boring. Details, like the scalloped hem, add texture to a classic look. Even better (and considering where it’s from, somewhat amazing), it’s affordable.
